I love their cookie cakes! This store has a lot of options. They have beer, hard liquor, bakery, sushi, fried chicken, produce, and meat. They sell gift cards, I- pass, and bus passes. They also sell lottery tickets, Red Box movies, and a key copy machine. They also sell bags of ice and Chicago souvenirs.

Jewel has all the products you would find at other grocery stores. The stores are clean, and the customer service is good. This store is very small, kinda what you get in the city!

I stopped at the Jewel for 3 bananas as I was baking something and needed this item last minute. I was charged for 3 items that were not mine. I noticed this on my receipt so I called the store and they told me to come in person with my receipt. I did so the next day and spoke with the customer service who told me there isn't much they can do without watching the security footage. I assured them that they can watch the security cameras and see I shopped for 3 bananas and walked out with 3 bananas. I waited for over 20 minutes and they said security can't help me right now so they took down my information and would look into this. I explained how I was going to the suburbs for the holiday so I would not be back in the city for a few days. I never heard back and I shop here frequently so I stopped by the customer service again. The lady refused to assist me because she said my receipt was only valid for 7 day. The lady whos name is Kay said she is the manager and she was who I would've spoken too. I told her that she is not the person I talked to when I went in and described the date and time. Kay became very unprofessional and had an attitude saying "so you're saying I don't know my schedule". I simply stated she was not who I spoke to. Kay would not help me and I told her that was unfortunate because I was charged for items that I did not buy. She kept repeating "so you say I don't know how to run my store and the receipt was invalid" she was provoking and argument and using poor taste of language. I've already reported the store as this so called manager seems to want to threaten customers. Jewel has lost a customer.

How anyone shops here without losing their mind is a mystery to me. Tiny aisles, VERY limited inventory compared to a real Jewel and the people who work here are unbelievably rude and unhelpful, even the floor manager! Honestly, walk a few more blocks to Trader Joe's -- much better shopping experience (and cheaper!)

Why give us the loyalty QR code if y'all employees refuse to scan it. It's really not that difficult, scan! DONE! Takes 0.2 second. Why waste time arguing with your customers, just scan the dang app. What if your customer is vision impaired, are y'all still gonna force this person to input the digits, it will take so much longer, just saying. What's the logic behind this, just help your customers, it's not even unreasonable. Oh, by the way, don't bother with your disingenuous AI generated responses from the owner type of replies either, we know nothing is gonna change.

Night time front end staff including supervisors are always on their phones and are clearly doing nothing around the cash registers. They also have quite a lot of attitude when asked if they are available. The lack of professionalism is quite astounding. If they want to text, message or be on social media maybe they can do that at home and without a job. They clearly don't see the need to be attentive to customers.

This Jewel-Osco is pretty good. It's a "Marketplace" which I think is their smaller downtown version concept. If you know what you need and know what they carry, they usually have things stocked well. I appreciate that they carry European butter. The produce section is good. Every once in a while you can get a sale on candles and other home decor. The staff at the self checkout is usually friendly and they have a lot of self checkout registers so the lines move fast.
